Due to the new restrictions schools and community centers are closed and sports activities are suspended. Many children are home all day and it is more important than ever to get children active and moving each day! Active play strengthens bones, muscles and the brain and establishes connections between all of them.
Try to schedule movement breaks and active play into your child’s daily routine. Children ages 3-5 should be active for a total of 3 hours each day at different intensities and children Ages 6-12 need 60 minutes of physical activity each day.
